The Yankee Candle Company has reported record sales across the spring trade show season in Europe.
January 2014 launched the start of the European trade show schedule for the leading designer, manufacturer, wholesaler and retailer of premium scented candles, with the new theme of ‘Four Seasons in One Show’.
For the first time since the launch of the brand, each trade show showcased a full year of new product launches, for retailers to plan ahead. A new stand design highlighted product in various lifestyle settings plus visual merchandising inspiration, marketing support and POS for each season.
HOMI in Milan was a record-breaking show for the sales team, which achieved a 250% increase compared with the prior year, closely followed by Maison et Object in Paris with a 100% increase.
Next was the Spring Fair in Birmingham, where the team enjoyed an increase of over 50% on the prior year, achieving an all-time record sales figure for the brand. Finally, a sales growth of 100% year-on-year was achieved at Ambiente in Frankfurt closing the spring trade show season.
The company said: “The first trade shows of the 2014 season have proven to be the most successful since the launch of the brand into the European market.”
