UK distributor Haus has been enjoying free big-screen publicity for its Wüsthof Trident knives, which are featured prominently throughout the hit cooking film Julie & Julia, starring Meryl Streep.
Julie & Julia tells the true stories of Julia Child, the American chef who revolutionised home cooking in the 1960s, and of internet blogger Julie Powell, who was inspired to write about her attempts to follow Child’s recipes and document them in her autobiographical novel.
The film has been a huge success, so far grossing over $85,000,000 worldwide.

Julia Child contributed much to modern-day cuisine and also helped kick-start the prominence of the celebrity chef; we’re very proud to see Wüsthof associated with this inspirational period in the industry on such a large scale.”
Julie & Julia also gave a huge boost in the US to sales of Le Creuset cast iron cookware, used in the film by both Streep and co-star Amy Adams.
