Danish brand Witt has launched a drive to sign up independent retailers, as part of its business growth strategy.
Founded in 1993, Witt is a manufacturer of appliances and also distributes a number of brands throughout Europe such as the iRobot range of intelligent products, which includes the Roomba vacuum cleaner robot; and Scooba floor-washing robot.
Witt UK & Ireland’s market manager Bo Simonsen said: “I would encourage independent retailers to look at their product mix – the premium major domestic appliance market is a good market to be in. We are looking to grow and we are looking to recruit retailers across the country. It’s important that retailers do not bury their head in the sand – there is money to be made in premium major domestic appliances.”
Bo Simonsen continued: “For me, the key words are ‘innovation’ and ‘demonstration’. By demonstrating innovative features, independent retailers have the ability to convince the consumer to purchase better suited products, that fit the need of their individual family. The key to that is about creating ‘theatre’ in your stores, which will help your sales. I’ve always been a great believer in the independent retail sector and I want to work with independents that are interested in selling, and demonstrating, products that are truly innovative.”
