Wilko makes changes to management structure

In an effort to stabilise the family-owned business and accelerate its turnaround, Wilko CEO Mark Jackson has announced changes to its management structure.

As part of the changes, Wilko group finance director Dave Murphy has become chief finance officer, succeeding Karen Mackay who has resigned and will be leaving next month. Retail director Amanda Jones will take on the new role of chief operating officer with responsibility for stores, logistics, and central operations. Meanwhile, Anne-Marie Haydock has been promoted to the role of HR director and will replace Kate Price who is leaving the business in April.

The announcement follows the recent appointment of Wilko’s new CEO, Mark Jackson, as the business’ former CEO Jerome Saint-Marc stepped down from his role at the end of 2022. Jackson joins the business as the retailer faces supply chain disruptions, a decline in footfall, store closures and ongoing efforts to secure new credit facilities.
