What More UK braced for busiest storage sales period

With pre- or post-Christmas decluttering  an annual event in many households, What More UK is preparing for its busiest sales period for storage products.

The housewares supplier manufactures WHAM branded storage boxes in a variety of sizes and colours at its 500,000sq ft facility in Altham, close to Burnley in Lancashire.

What More UK director Tony Grimshaw OBE said: “Between December and February is without a doubt our busiest time for sales of storage products. As the UK’s biggest manufacturer of plastic storage products, we always have exceptional levels of stock in all sizes, styles and colourways. With the largest manufacturing capability and massive stocks of raw materials, we are ready to react to the usual ‘sold out’ when retailers need an emergency delivery.

“Our impressive state-of-the-art machinery runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This means we can react quickly to orders – even the more sizeable orders and bespoke orders that regularly come our way at this time of year.”

What More UK supplies its WHAM branded products to retailers across the UK, ranging from major supermarkets, department stores and nationwide DIY chains to small, independent hardware and variety stores.

Tony added: “Operating 24/7, our purpose-built modern manufacturing facility produces 5.4 million products a year. It’s not unusual during our busiest period for around 50 container-loads of products to leave our manufacturing facility each day.”
