What More UK adds Vietnam to its export list

Vietnam is the latest overseas market for housewares supplier What More UK.

The Lancashire-based plasticware and bakeware manufacturer now exports to a total of 68 countries worldwide across Asia and South America as well as Europe.

The company said the news comes as the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development ‘backtracks on its warning that the UK economy would suffer instant damage following the UK’s decision to leave the EU’.

What More UK director Tony Grimshaw OBE said: “Brexit has had very little – if any – impact on our business. In advance of June’s EU referendum, we made strategic plans for either outcome.

“While many firms experienced an immediate impact following the Brexit vote, it was very much business as usual for What More. I don’t anticipate the UK leaving the EU to affect the company’s growth.

“Our export business looks way beyond Europe, and our export team has been working hard on new markets with the help of the Department of International Trade, the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce and the British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA).

What More UK makes over 700 product lines from storage boxes and plant pots to pet beds, washing up bowls, buckets and bins, sold under the Wham brand.

The business also has an extensive range of bakeware, including enamelware and the PushPan range of silicone sealed bakeware.
