Wesco sponsors local sporting talent

South-west supplier Wesco UK is sponsoring Timsbury Athletic Football Club’s U7 and U8 teams. The Bath-based company, part of the LDL Group, is supplying training jackets for both teams.

John Carey, manager of the U7 team and an employee of LDL, said: “We set up the teams in August and now have around 30 boys from Timsbury, Peasedown St John and other local villages training every Saturday and playing in the Midsomer Norton District League. The community feeling is very strong and this has definitely been cemented by the new kit. ”

Along with Chris Lodder, manager of the U8 team, John says it is a pleasure to coach the boys who have now developed a very keen sense of team spirit.

Matthew Lord, managing director of Wesco UK, commented: “Wesco products are famous for quality, strength and superior performance, so we look forward to these boys offering the same unbeatable combination.”
