Eleven suppliers of cutting-edge designed products won Global Innovation Awards for product innovation at the 2013 International Home + Housewares Show, which was held in Chicago from March 2-5.

Finally the Global Honoree of the Martin M. Pegler Award for the Best Booth Design is Universal Expert LLC, a Sebastian Conran company
“The winners were selected by a panel of retailers and design editors who judged them on inspired design quality, brand positioning, outstanding craftsmanship, exclusive market focus and design-focused sustainability,” said Phil Brandl, president of the International Housewares Association, which owns and operates the International Home + Housewares Show and sponsors the Global Innovation Awards.
“We are pleased to have these companies, who push the envelope of the design spectrum, exhibiting at the Show.”
Richard & Anthony Joseph, the founders of global honoree Joseph Joseph, will be giving a presentation at next month’s Housewares Conference on ‘The risks and rewards of taking an innovation approach to housewares design’.
In 10 years, Joseph Joseph have become internationally recognised for producing innovative and design-led products. Founders (and brothers) Antony and Richard Joseph will share the challenges they’ve faced, and the underlying ethos that has kept their business at the forefront of the housewares design and manufacturing industry – whilst keeping the pirates at bay.
