Webb's takes the crown in Jubilee display competition

The shop was presented with the first prize of £100 in vouchers, while the second prize of £50 in vouchers went to Casswells Home Hardware of Midsomer Norton, Somerset.

All Home Hardware retailers were invited to participate in the red, white and blue themed competition, which was judged by an independent panel. In deciding a winner, the judges took into account window content, layout, use of Jubilee props and overall interest for the consumer.

Said Webbs’ owner Graham Webb: “I’m overjoyed that our store has won Home Hardware’s competition. Union flag bunting is fluttering throughout our town, and we want shoppers and visitors to really feel Battle has gone the extra mile in celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. It’s important we provide a visual treat for shoppers so they’re tempted in-store to buy both Jubilee branded and summer leisure products. Winning this national competition really feels like the ‘jewel in the crown’!”

Home Hardware marketing manager Beverley Wood added: “This event has given our retailers the opportunity to have some creative fun and express their individuality through colourful and sophisticated window merchandising.”
