Home cleaning brand Vileda is launching into the electricals market with a range of new products which will start to become available from next month.

The offer includes a cordless 100˚C Hot Spray Mop which is designed to remove 99.9% of bacteria, a Steam Mop billed as ‘the quickest and lightest while offering the longest use on the market’, a Windomatic window vacuum to make cleaning windows and mirrors easier and with a streak-free finish, and ‘the next generation’ of cleaning robots.

Vileda shopper product manager Lindsey Taylor commented: “Our extensive research showed that consumers’ key priorities are products that give exceptional performance; they don’t want heavy and cumbersome- they want products that are quick and easy to use, saving them time. The other thing that became clear is that there is a growing demand for products which don’t require detergents – and that’s where our pedigree of producing superior microfibre technology really makes a difference.”

Vileda noted that the past 12 months has seen the steam mop market grow to £64.8m while the fledgling cleaning robot market has already reached £3m.
