Ultimate signs as Rainy Day Trust Partner

Ultimate Products has become the UK’s first housewares supplier to sign up for the Rainy Day Trust’s new Partner Package.
The package, launched earlier this year, enables companies to demonstrate an enhanced level of support for the industry charity. In return for an annual subscription of £1,000, Partners qualify for a package of publicity and branding benefits which highlights their support for the RDT.

Ultimate Products was founded in 1997 as a stock clearance business, and has grown to become a major supplier of housewares, kitchenware, lighting, luggage and small domestic appliances, among other categories.

The company has a 20,000sq ft showroom at its Manchester head office, and a further 10,000sq ft showroom in its sourcing office in Hong Kong.

“We’re delighted to welcome Ultimate Products as the first housewares supplier to become a Rainy Day Trust Partner,” said Paul Woolley of the Cookshop & Housewares Association, who is also a Trust board member. “Their support will enable us to continue to make a difference to people’s lives – and we hope they will be first of many Partners from the housewares industry.”

Founded in 1843, the Rainy Day Trust is the hardware and housewares industry’s own benevolent fund. It helps people who have spent a significant part of their working lives in this industry and who now find that they need a helping hand.

The Trust provides that help, contributing to the cost of major capital items like stairlifts and home improvements, as well as providing annual grants, Christmas hampers, and one-off grants for individual needs.
