Ultimate Products to explore options for the business

Ultimate Products has appointed Shore Capital to explore a potential sale or flotation.

The Lancashire-based housewares supplier has asked Shore Capital to explore options for the business including a disposal or an initial public offering.

Established in 1997, Ultimate Products designs, sources, develops and supplies branded products to major retailers worldwide. Its comprehensive range encompasses more than 3,000 lines across six main categories: small domestic appliances, housewares, audio, luggage, laundry and heating & cooling.

In 2009, the business acquired the cleaning and ironing board brand Beldray and a year later it acquired luggage brand Constellation. In 2012 it acquired the home entertaining accessories brand Giles & Posner. Last year it acquired cookware brands George Wilkinson and Progress from the administrators of PCS Brands.

Ultimate Products also has the licence to sell Salter and Russell Hobbs products to retailers.
