Ultimate Products has bought the stock and trademarks of Giles & Posner, which collapsed into administration last year.
Giles & Posner sold products both to the catering industry and the housewares retail market. It was the first company in the UK to supply a commercial chocolate fountain, and also sold chocolate fountains and other small appliances such as popcorn machines and candy floss makers to cookshops.
Trademarks acquired by Ultimate under the deal include Art in the Party, Commercial, EAT and Retro. The products will join Ultimate’s existing retail product offer.
Giles & Posner was set up in 2001 by chefs Darren Giles and Justin Posner. The company developd a blue chip customer base and created own-label products for a number of leading high street retailers and shopping channels.
The two directors at the time of the administration, Darren Giles and Hitesh Patel, were laid off.
