TV series starring foodie duo Hemsley+Hemsley coming soon

Channel 4 has acquired the UK premiere broadcasting rights to the BBC Worldwide original series ‘Eating Well With Hemsley+Hemsley’.

The new series will launch on Channel 4 in April.

London-based sisters Jasmine and Melissa Hemsley have taken the wellness industry by storm since launching their family-run business in 2010 for people who want to live healthier lives.

They have written two best-selling cookbooks called ‘The Art of Eating Well’ and ‘Good + Simple’, which feature recipes that are gluten-, grain- and refined sugar-free and have a huge following on social media.

In ‘Eating Well With Hemsley+Hemsley,’ viewers can look forward to slow-roasted lamb with anchovies and creamy cauliflower mash, dark chocolate molten pots with baked figs, and cranberry and quinoa breakfast bars.

There are also healthy new takes on classic comfort food including ragu with courgetti, Southern-fried chicken, fish fingers baked in the oven and a fish pie. Recipes from each episode will be made available on Channel4.com.

Jasmine Hemsley said: “Our mouths are watering at the prospect of sharing these tasty, healthy and easy to make recipes with Channel 4’s viewers.”

Melissa Hemsley added: “I can’t wait to see our readers’ reaction to our new TV show and this is a fantastic opportunity for us to reach out to a wider audience.”

Andrea Olsonn, head of factual entertainment and executive producer at Channel 4, commented: “We’re delighted to be working with Jasmine and Melissa and bringing their inspiring brand of healthy living to a wider audience.”

Eating Well With Hemsley+Hemsley is a Fresh One production for BBC Worldwide and Foxtel in association with Hemsley and Hemsley Limited. The series is distributed by BBC Worldwide globally as ‘Hemsley+Hemsley: Healthy and Delicious’.

Next month the siblings will launch their first ever day-to-night café, Hemsley+Hemsley at Selfridges, in the heart of London.
