TV chef Phil Vickery teams up with Everest

Phil Vickery

TV chef Phil Vickery is the latest celebrity partner for double glazing and home improvement company Everest.

Best known for his spot on ITV’s daytime show ‘This Morning’, where he has held the post of resident chef for more than 18 year, Phil has also appeared BBC cookery shows including MasterChef and ‘Ready Steady Cook’.

He is the national food ambassador for Coeliac UK, the national charity for people with coeliac disease, and has released a range of specialist baking products and written three gluten-free cookbooks.

The Everest partnership will see Phil developing exclusive recipes throughout the year. The first one will be released in time for Valentine’s Day. Further seasonal recipes are planned throughout the year, including treats for summer barbecues, and celebration dishes for Mother’s Day and Christmas.

He will be taking part in several events for Everest too, including a cookery demonstration for members of the Women’s Institute and helping Everest to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support by joining the company for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in September. Everest staff will be donning their aprons in a bake-off competition, with Phil judging the best bake. The cakes will then be sold at the Everest coffee mornings that will be taking place up and down the country in support of the charity.

Everest marketing director Martin Troughton said: “We’re delighted to be working with Phil. The kitchen is the true heart of the home, where we spend a lot of our time socialising and relaxing with family or friends. We know our customers are going to enjoy putting Phil’s recipes to the test and we shall definitely be trying them out ourselves.”

Phil added: “Everest has been helping to make people’s homes an enjoyable place to cook and eat for more than 50 years. It’s a true British brand, with a great reputation, so I’m really looking forward to working with them.

“I’ll be helping Everest’s customers to make the most of their kitchens, with dishes ranging from simple suppers, to celebratory meals to enjoy with friends. I’m really looking forward to meeting more of the Everest team at their charity bake-off. Last year Everest raised a substantial amount for Macmillan through its coffee morning cakes sales and I’m sure that together we can beat this figure.”
