Tom Kerridge to launch his own housewares range

Celebrity chef Tom Kerridge has been working with The Great British Exchange to develop a range of British-made housewares products.

The range from the host of the BBC’s ‘Bake Off: Crème De La Crème’ includes knives, pans, ceramics, wood and textiles. The products will be launched at trade show Home & Gift in Harrogate from July 17-20.

The Tom Kerridge Range has been developed with a team of British manufacturers. The Great British Exchange, as licensee of the Tom Kerridge Range, has brought together the various manufacturers and will be managing the range’s launch to market.

The Great British Exchange managing director Matt Hopkins said: “We’re all very proud of the Tom Kerridge Range. Working with British manufacturers, to produce a range of high quality products that will enter the market as a beacon of what is capable by brilliant British craftsmanship, has been an extremely gratifying process.

“The range is an honest representation of what we as a nation are able to produce and the skills that are alive and kicking in our manufacturing regions. The response to the range so far has been brilliant and I can’t wait to introduce it to more retailers and the market at large.”

The Great British Exchange said it worked with Tom and the manufacturers to ‘marry Tom’s knowledge, as a professional chef and owner of the only 2 Michelin star pub in the UK, with the skills and experience of the manufacturers.’

It added: ‘Bringing together Tom’s knowledge, and the experience of the craftspeople involved with the collection, has resulted in a practical and elegant range of products that have provenance.’

Tom Kerridge commented: “A huge amount of effort has gone into finding these fantastic manufacturers, all of whom are based in Great Britain.

“We are trying to breathe new life into Great British traditions, standing firm and not compromising on quality, whilst showcasing the best that Britain has to offer.

“All of these products have been tested and are meant to be used rather than just looked at and stand the test of time. Think ‘Land Rover Defender’ for kitchens!”

The Great British Exchange is now working with retail partners to launch the range to the consumer market in the autumn. Interested parties are encouraged to contact the team based in Harrogate.

The Great British Exchange, founded in 2014 and based in Harrogate, bills itself as the trade buyer’s destination for British made products. Working with British makers, designers, manufacturers and independent and small chain retailers, The Great British Exchange works to bring together British-made products and buyers under one roof.
