Tom Kerridge fronts Bake Off spin-off show

The makers of hit TV programme ‘The Great British Bake Off’ have cooked up a spin-off of the show entitled ‘Bake Off: Crème De La Crème’.

Presented by Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge, the eight-part BBC2 series makes its debut on Tuesday March 29 at 8pm.

‘Bake Off: Crème De La Crème’ features 15 teams of professional pastry chefs competing to produce the most impressive miniatures and showpiece desserts.

The chefs come from famous hotels, top restaurants and patisseries, as well as the development kitchen of a leading supermarket, the armed forces and private clubs.

Their efforts will be judged by three expert pastry chefs: Benoit Blin from Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons in Oxfordshire, Cherish Finden from The Langham Hotel in London and Claire Clark, who has twice been named Britain’s best pastry chef.

Show makers Love Productions – the team behind ‘The Great British Bake Off’- promise ‘tension and drama’ as the chefs work together to show off their skills and creativity.

The winner will be the team who displays ‘the precision of surgeons, the knowledge of chemists and the creativity of artists’.
