Tom Basford rejoins Grunwerg

Tom Basford has rejoined housewares supplier Grunwerg as sales manager

A well-known figure in the housewares industry, Tom started his sales career working for Dixons many years ago, then moved to field sales with Brabantia. Two years later, he joined Grunwerg and completed nearly 15 years of service before deciding last year that it was time for a change and went to work for Meyer Group.

Tom commented: “Having spent just a year away, I was able to gain experience of how a manufacturer in our industry operates This was a real eye opener for me and I hope that I can bring some of the good from Meyer back to Grunwerg, where I am looking forward to continuing my career in sales.”

Grunwerg director Ben Grunwerg said: “Tom brings back to us a wealth of experience and industry experience, and I am very pleased that Tom has decided to rejoin.”

Grunwerg is an award-winning supplier of housewares and catering products. It specialises in premium stainless steel products and supplies cutlery, teaware, serving ware, tableware, kitchen utensils, cookware, kitchen knives, barware, and scissors.

The company has more than 70 years of experience developing brands including Global, Tojiro Senkou, Rockingham Forge, Bellux, Art Deco, Cafe Stal, Cafe Ole, Minosharp, Pioneer, DrinkPod, Benriner and Vektra.
