Housewares product designer, developer and distributor Bunkerbound has launched its first collection of officially licensed Classic Thunderbirds gifts.
The Classic Thunderbirds giftware range hits stores in the UK and Ireland this month. It makes up part of the official Thunderbirds licensee franchise’s collection of products, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Thunderbirds in 2015.
Gerry and Sylvia Anderson’s Thunderbirds franchise came to inception in 1965 and has remained popular for almost half a century. The success of the British sci-fi television show, featuring the International Rescue team and their fleet of Thunderbirds, has led to the launch of a new television series by ITV Global Entertainment in the 50th anniversary year entitled Thunderbirds are Go!
Bunkerbound’s Classic Thunderbirds range is aimed at adult fans of the brand. The collection includes the Thunderbirds Alarm Clock (SRP £22.99): an alarm clock featuring comic strip design work and a sound bite of the phrase, “5, 4, 3, 2, 1… Thunderbirds are Go”. Also included in the range are a selection of travel bags including messenger bags (SRP £24.99) and wash bags (SRP £19.99) featuring a variety of comic strip designs, characters and International Rescue detailing, plus cufflinks, flasks and wallets.
