The Weddible Dress comes to Cake International London

Taking centre stage at Cake International London 2016, which opens its doors tomorrow, is ‘The Weddible Dress’.

This extraordinary cake was created by multi-award winning cake sculptor Sylvia Elba, who was asked to produce an exhibit based purely on wafer paper to showcase its versatility. Sylvie pulled together a group of likeminded cake artists and designers to create ‘The Weddible Dress’ exhibit: a 100% edible wedding dress.

Organised by ICHF Events, the sugarcraft, cake decorating and baking show runs from Saturday April 16 to Sunday April 17 at Alexandra Palace in London.

The event, which is headline sponsored by Kenwood, PME and Renshaw, is expected to draw cake enthusiasts, industry experts and professional cake decorators and sugarcrafters from across the globe.

They can view the wares of suppliers, attend workshops and demonstrations, and watch baking stars in The Cake International Theatre present their latest recipes. Celebrities due to attend include cake decorating expert Mich Turner and award-winning chocolatier Will Torrent.
