For spring/summer 2014, we will be seeing lots of single-colour cakes and cookies as bakers look to the catwalk for style inspiration, according to Squires Kitchen.
The cake decorating supplier said: “We’ve had sombre and monochrome tones; now it’s all about cakes in one colour all over, with the decoration matching the base icing colour exactly.
“Block-colour cakes featuring perfectly co-ordinated colour detail such as piped line work, dots and lettering give an embossed effect that’s perfect for weddings and any event where you want to tie the whole theme together.”
