The Gourmet Candy Company launches new RHS confectionery lines

Following the success of The Gourmet Candy Company’s RHS confectionery range, which launched in 2017 and was extended in early 2018, the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has announced a further expansion of the range for 2019, including five new lines.

Along with the existing selection of chocolate gift boxes, fudges and honeycomb bars, the RHS confectionery range now includes Treacle Toffee, Salted Caramel Toffee, Milk Chocolate Bunnies, Milk Chocolate Hedgehogs and Milk Chocolate Butterflies, all presented in classic RHS design gift boxes and packaging, with packaging designs inspired by the RHS Lindley Library: the world’s finest collection of botanical art.

The new lines will be available at retail from March. Outlets stocking the range will include Wyevale Garden Centres, along with department stores, independent garden centres and farm shops, as well as RHS shops based at RHS’ four gardens: Wisley, Harlow Carr, Hyde Hall and Rosemoor. Distribution is also planned for international market including USA, Australia and Sweden.

The London-based Gourmet Candy Company supplies British-made fudges, toffees and honeycombs, plus private-label chocolates and sweets, through retailers and distributors in over 20 countries worldwide.

Sales director Jaime Waring said: “Our RHS licensed products continue to flourish in the UK and abroad. A real ‘independent retailer’ favourite brand, the RHS’ images held in the RHS Lindley Library have inspired us to create a unique and innovative range of confectionery products for the markets.”

RHS licensing manager Cathy Snow added: “Our partnership with The Gourmet Candy Company has inspired some delightful confectionery ranges, and these are no exception. As gifts or treats, they are both elegantly designed and packaged and wonderfully tasty.”
