The Direct Company hands out supplier accolades

A host of housewares suppliers walked away with awards from The Direct Company’s Direct Away Day last week.
The annual get-together of the BHF-BSSA Group-owned buying group and its suppliers saw six companies and one individual recognised for excellence.

The Direct Diamond Supplier of the Year Award: Cookshop & Housewares went to Dexam, with Eddingtons and Horwood as finalists.

Most Promising Newcomer was EPE International, with Churchill China and Dartington Crystal both finalists, while the title of Best Turnover Growth went to Rayware, with finalists Culpitt, CPC and Groupe SEB.

Best Marketing: Cookshop & Housewares was won by Zwilling JA Henckels. Finalists were Bodum and EPE.

The Special Award in Recognition of Commitment to the Independent was taken by Martin Gibbons of Jegs Electrical.

The two other winners were CPC for Best Marketing: Hardware, DIY, Garden & Pet, with Draper Tools and LG Harris as finalists, and Jegs Electrical for Direct Diamond Supplier of the Year Award: Hardware, DIY, Garden & Pet, with finalists LG Harris and Toolstream.
