The Cotswold Company is wound up

It traded via a catalogue, transactional website and four stores, and is owned by home shopping and educational supplies group Findel. Findel bought the Manchester-based business in 2007 after it was put into administration by its previous owner, but it has been making a loss.

The Cotswold Company advertised its home shopping services extensively in the press, and sold everything from furniture and furnishings to cookware, small appliances, kitchen knives, tools and gadgets, tabletop and storageware.

Findel is also closing Letterbox, a mail order business specialising in children’s products. The shut-down of the two businesses, which is immediate, will cost a total of 60 jobs.
