T&G Woodware hosts export discussion

Housewares supplier T&G Woodware recently welcomed a visit from Secretary of State for International Trade Dr Liam Fox MP to its headquarters in Bristol for a round table discussion with local SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) on the subject of exporting.

Chaired by Paul Shand, south-west regional director for DIT (Department for International Trade), the aim of the initiative was to hear about T&G Woodware’s export journey, and understand the wider issues faced by local exporting SMEs.

The company’s managing director Patrick Gardner, head of marketing Jenny Handley and export manager Corinne Price gave Liam and Paul a tour of T&G Woodware’s showroom. The foursome is pictured with T&G’s Woodware Ocean Collection, which is designed to raise awareness of the problems of plastic waste in our oceans. T&G Woodware makes a donation to the charity Plastic Oceans UK from the sale of each Ocean product.

Commenting on the event, Patrick Gardner said: “A very successful and interesting morning was had by all.” Dr Liam Fox added: “T&G are a great example of an environmentally conscious business who export all over the world.”
