Tefal is set to celebrate Pancake Day with a £700,000 national TV advertising campaign.

The 10-second ad, which runs from February 11 to Shrove Tuesday (March 4), will highlight frying pans that feature Tefal’s Intensium coating and Thermospot indicator, hat tells consumers when a pan is at the correct temperature for cooking.

The promotion marks a 60-year milestone since the first Tefal frying pan was created.

Groupe SEB cookware marketing manager Stefan Kaczmarczyk said: “Pancake Day continues to be the one of the most significant themed promotions in the cookware calendar.

He added that last year Tefal cookware sell-out increased by 120% when a similar TV campaign was aired in the run-up to Shrove Tuesday.
