Star-spotting at Exclusively Shows

Eagled-eyed visitors at last week’s co-located London trade shows Exclusively Housewares and Exclusively Electrical will have spotted some famous faces whilst walking the aisles.

Several big names attended the event, which took place on June 11 and June 12 at the Business Design Centre in Islington.

TV chef and bestselling author Lorraine Pascale made a special appearance on Sabichi Homewares’ stand to promote her product collaboration with the company’s Haden brand. The Haden-Lorraine Pascale collection comprises a 4.5ltr Stand Mixer, 3.6ltr Digital Air Fryer, 1.2ltr Soup Maker, 6ltr Kitchen Angel Instant Pressure Cooker and 1000W Health Blender.

Jeremy Pang was on Dexam’s stand, demonstrating his School of Wok Range, which includes woks, bamboo bowls and tools for stir frying. Jeremy is the head chef and founder of the School of Wok in London’s Covent Garden. A regular guest on Channel 4’s ‘Sunday Brunch’, he has also written two cookbooks – ‘Chinese Unchopped’ and ‘Hong Kong Diner’ – which share his love of oriental cuisine.

Meanwhile, Lynsey Crombie aka ‘The Queen of Clean’ could be seen on Swan’s stand promoting its new floorcare collection in partnership with North American vacuum cleaner manufacturer Eureka.

Lynsey has fast become one of the UK’s leading ‘cleanfluencers’ after making her debut on Channel 4 series ‘Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners’ in 2014. She has more than 100,000 followers across Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, and is a guest presenter on Ideal World’s ‘Cleaning Products and Gadgets’.

The Swan | Eureka floorcare range consists of a range of cordless and cylinder vacuum cleaners, which will be promoted by Lynsey across her social media channels.

Other stars spotted at the Exclusively Shows included Edd Kimber, winner of the first series of ‘The Great British Bake Off’ in 2010 and Martha Collison, who rose to fame after competing as ‘The Great British Bake Off’ ‘s youngest ever contestant, reaching the quarter-finals of the fifth series.

Scottish TV personality Aggie MacKenzie, who co-presented the Channel 4 series ‘How Clean Is Your House?’ from 2003 to 2009 and presented 50 episodes of ITV daytime series ‘Storage Hoarders’ in 2013 and 2014, also popped by. A journalist and broadcaster, Aggie writes regular columns in national publications including ‘My Weekly’, ‘Delicious’ and ‘Sainsbury’s magazine’.

The Shows’ owner and organiser BHETA (British Home Enhancement Trade Association) said: ‘Exclusively continues to draw celebrities.’

The 2020 edition of the Exclusively Shows will be held at the same venue on June 9 and June 10.
