Squire’s suspends trading at garden centres

Sarah Squire, chairman of Squire’s Garden Centres, released this message today (Monday March 23): ‘In this rapidly changing environment we have taken the unprecedented decision to suspend trading from our garden centres and we shall close with effect from 2pm this afternoon. The safety of our teams and our customers has to come first.

‘The only exception is our Food Hall at Frensham, which we shall continue to operate to serve the needs of our local community.

‘Over the next few days we shall look at ways we might be able to continue to serve the horticultural needs of our customers but in other ways. We shall of course keep you posted.

‘I would like to pay tribute to our amazing teams for their commitment and hard work and to thank all our customers and let you know how much we really appreciate your support and understanding.’

Squire’s is a family-owned horticultural business that operates 16 garden centres across Surrey, Sussex, north London and Berkshire.
