Squire’s Employee Given ‘Made a Difference’ Award

Each year Squire’s Garden Centres gives a ‘Made A Difference’ award to one of their employees who has gone over and above the call of duty.

The award this year has gone to Stuart Sullivan, Garden Furniture Department Head at Squire’s in Badshot Lea. Martin Breddy, Managing Director at Squire’s, explains why Stuart won the award:

“A customer telephoned to say that he wanted to replace a product, but said that he was unable to drive to the garden centre for another 2-3 months. The customer later told Stuart that he had been diagnosed with cancer, and because of this the doctors had revoked his driving license. On Stuart’s weekend off he arranged with the customer to go to his house, which is a 20-mile drive from the garden centre, and he replaced his product for a new one. This is definitely going over and above for the customer. Stuart thoroughly deserves our ‘Made A Difference’ award for his actions and excellent customer service.”

Stuart received £300 of Squire’s vouchers and an artisan drinks hamper as his prize.
