Squire’s Garden Centre at Chertsey in Surrey is has opened following a complete rebuild.
Billed as a boutique garden centre, it features shop with a range of giftware, a new outdoor plant area, and a brand new Café Bar.
Some £1.5 million was spent on building the new garden centre, with chairman Colin Squire very involved with both the design.
Deputy chairman Sarah Squire commented: “We’re delighted to open our new garden centre in Chertsey. It is small but perfectly formed, with a totally fresh outdoor plant area, new shop and new café bar – which is in an octagonal lodge building that dates back to the Napoleonic wars.
Squire’s Garden Centres is a family-owned horticultural business that operates 15 centres across Surrey, Sussex, Berkshire, Middlesex, North and West London.
All the centres have a café bar on site and free parking, while many include a children’s play area. Last year the retailer celebrated its 80th anniversary.
