Sophie Conran cooks at Mulberry Hall

As part of the York Food Festival, tabletop retailer Mulberry Hall hosted a very special cookery demonstration today by chef, writer and designer Sophie Conran in its Dining Warehouse.

Sophie cooked three of her own recipes using her newly launched cookware for Portmeirion. There was also be a Q&A session and signing, together with the opportunity to
sample champagne.

Tickets for the event were on sale to the public with the face value redeemable against purchases on the day.

The annual Festival runs in the North Yorkshire city from September 20 to 29. Mulberry Hall is situated on Stonegate, and is one of the UK’s leading fine china and crystal specialists. Its medieval building contains 17 showrooms filled with porcelain and crystal from brands including Herend, Wedgwood, Meissen, Baccarat, Royal Copenhagen, Portmeirion, Royal Doulton, Spode, Royal Crown Derby, Lladro and Lalique.

Sophie Conran was a guest speaker at The Housewares Conference 2013, organised by www.HousewaresLive,net and Housewares Magazine.
