Sneak peak of Home launches at Top Drawer trade show

Next week’s London trade exhibition Top Drawer is shaping up to be ‘an unmissable showcase of fresh talent mixing alongside well-established brands’, according to organiser Clarion Events.

Held at London Olympia from Sunday (September 11) to Tuesday (September 13), the Autumn/Winter 2016 edition of Top Drawer will present new products and brands across four sectors: Home, Gift, Fashion and Craft.

The Home sector is 30% larger than last autumn and includes housewares, furniture and lighting products from 200 brands such as Alessi, Also Home, Au Maison, Black+Blum, Canvas Home, Forma House, Garden Trading, Haus, Leonardo, Liv Interior, Makers & Merchants, Make International, Moxon, Sue Pryke Ceramics, Stelton, Skandium, Umbra and White Brands  – plus first-time exhibitors Bed & Philosophy, Edito, Erstwhile, Nuf Nuf, Vanilla Fly and Yod & Co.

Here are four examples of new launches in the Home sector:

Bert & Buoy (Stand H – D10)

Bert & Buoy makes nautical homeware inspired by life in Devon. It is the label of British designer and illustrator, Bert Fowler. The company will
launch several collections, including Luxe Coastal Chopping Boards and the Great Gulls Collection.

EDITO (Stand K31)

Making its debut in the UK at Home this September, Parisian brand EDITO is a designer rug and cushion brand. EDITO is designed entirely by hand and made in Belgium using the latest loom technology which, the company says, ‘gives the level of detail needed without the shedding of a normal rug‘.

White Brands (Stand H – E17)

New for Autumn/Winter 2016 are additions to the Theo range from Stelton, which aims to ‘combine Scandinavian design with Asian culture in a sophisticated way’. Alongside Theo is the launch of Danish brand Lyngby Porcelain from Copenhagen

Canvas Home (Stand H-I13)

Canvas Home will launch three product collections: Taroudant – tall vases and trays inspired by Morocco and made in a studio in Portugal; Salamanca – a dinnerware collection styled on earthy serveware; and the Stroud design family of boards and bowls in shades of sea blue and crisp white.
