Smeg has supplied a cream FAB28 fridge for the set of the blockbuster, which is due out on November 28 and stars Nicole Kidman and Hugh Bonneville (pictured), with the appliance featuring in several scenes.

Action Medical Research raises money to fund research to help save the lives sick and disabled babies and children in the UK. Paddington Bear is the charity’s official mascot.

Smeg UK brand manager John Davies explained: “Action Medical Research was already Smeg UK’s chosen charity for 2014, and as it’s also Paddington Bear’s favourite charity – and the fridge appears in the new film – it seemed fitting that we joined up all of these activities to help raise more funds for this important cause.”

Action Medical Research head of relationship fundraising Toby Tennant said: “We’re delighted to be benefitting from this promotion that Smeg are running through December and January to raise funds for our vital work to help sick children and babies. This is just one of many initiatives they have undertaken for Action, including bike rides, marathons, raffles and creating a one-off fridge design to be auctioned at our Champions of CycleSport Dinner on November 27.”
