Six weeks at top of the pops for Jamie

Jamie Oliver’s new cookbook is sitting strong at number one in ‘The Mail on Sunday’ list of UK best-selling non-fiction hardbacks, for the sixth consecutive week.

‘Super Food Family Classics’ follows on from the celebrity chef’s best-selling ‘Everyday Super Food’. In the new title, Jamie shares his ideas for freshening up family favourites. Chapters include Breakfast, Quick Fixes, Healthy Classics, Salads, Curries & Stews, Traybakes, Pasta & Risotto and Soups.

Every recipe is tried and tested and nutritional information is included on the page, such as the number of veg and fruit portions in each dish. There is also a back-section with advice on subjects such as cooking with kids, fussy eaters, gut health, the importance of fibre and budgeting.

At number eight is a debut cookbook by TV and radio presenter Fearne Cotton is at number 10. ‘Cook Happy, Cook Healthy’ is billed as ‘full of easy, fast and healthy recipes for everything from breakfast and speedy suppers to baked treats’.

A debut cookbook by beauty, fashion and lifestyle vlogger Tanya Burr is at number nine. In ‘Tanya Bakes’, the celebrity shares her passion for baking, along with her favourite recipes, from everyday staple bakes to sweet treats for special occasions.

For best-selling non-fiction paperbacks, fitness guru Joe Wicks (aka The Body Coach) leads with two books. At number one is ‘Lean in 15 – The Shape Plan: 15 minute meals with workouts to build a strong, lean body’ in which Joe shares 100 recipes and four workouts. At number two is ‘Lean In 15’, which features 15 minute meals and workouts.

A cookbook based on the hit BBC TV series ‘Eat Well For Less’ is at number seven. Written by Jo Scarratt-Jones and Helena Caldon, with a foreword by the show’s presenters Gregg Wallace and Chris Bavin, it contains 80 recipes for healthy family meals.

The title also includes a meal-planning guide, help on freezing and storing food, a family budget planner, ideas on how to get kids cooking and sample shopping lists, as well as tips from Gregg, Chris and the experts from the show.

These book charts appeared in ‘The Mail on Sunday’s’ ‘Event’ magazine on August 28. They are compiled by Nielsen Bookscan TCM, which collates real time sales from over 6,500 retailers, representing over 90% of the UK book market.
