To mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations and a summer of sport, Selfridges has launched a Big British Bang campaign – a creative homage to all things British.

As part of the campaign, the department store group’s London flagship on Oxford Street has reopened its roof to launch The Big Rooftop Tea & Golf Party.

Running throughout the summer until September 2, The Big Rooftop Tea & Golf Party has transformed its roof into a destination for a round of a crazy golf , with the award-winning Daylesford organic cafe offering the highest afternoon tea on Oxford Street.

The cake-based 9-hole golf course is designed by British food architects, Sam Bompas and Harry Parr, with each jelly, icing and fondant-clad hole representing one of London’s landmarks.

The Daylesford Cafe will serve a traditional British afternoon tea, with a twist. Open from 12 noon until 10pm each day, the Selfridges roof is designed be the destination for a royal lunch, a proper afternoon tea and summer evening drinks and dinner – all six storeys above London’s busiest shopping street.
