Scott Brothers achieves international quality standard

Housewares supplier Scott Brothers has achieved ISO 9001 certification: the international benchmark for quality standards within an organisation.

First published in 1987, ISO 9001 can apply to any organisation, regardless of size or industry, and more than one million organisations from over 160 countries have applied for the standard because it demonstrates their ability to consistently provide products and services which meet customer requirements.

To gain International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) certification, Scott Brothers had to demonstrate dedication and commitment to meeting customers’ needs. Each year an external audit is carried out to ensure systems are maintained and any non-conformances corrected.

Scott Brothers managing director Duncan Pratt-Thompson commented: “ISO 9001 is a certification which has become a global standard in almost every sector around the world, helping businesses to expand into new markets.

“The process that our team has gone through to achieve it means they can make smart, fact-based decisions and, as a business, it provides a clear framework for continuous improvement. It ensures we provide products and services that consistently meet the requirements and expectations of our customers in the most efficient manner possible.

“Achieving it is a landmark moment for us, because it is the gold-standard guarantee to customers of customer satisfaction – something which we’ve always prided ourselves on and which has been the foundation of our success since we began in the 1950s.”
