Former RTA Wine Racks managing director Carl Saunders has this week joined cookware supplier Hahn Trading Company as export director.
Saunders spent 29 years with RTA, the last eight of them as managing director. Over the last 12 years he spent considerable time concentrating on export activities.
Hahn, which was bought by David Eggison and Paul Marchant in 2006, has seen a steady growth in product ranges and includes one of the widest single stainless steel pan ranges in the UK along with a range of wall and ceiling racks and pan stand. It also launched a range of enamelware this year.
Commenting on the appoiontment, Eggison, said: “Paul and I are delighted to have Carl on board. We’re very confident that the knowledge and contacts that he has will enable us to move Hahn on to a global platform.”
Saunders will be concentrating on developing the Western European and North American markets. He will also be involved in new product design and will focus on trade shows outside the UK.
Hahn’s sales team now includes seven agents selling throughout the UK and Ireland.
