The Q Knife Block (pictured in walnut) from Robert Welch Designs has won a GOOD DESIGN 2017 award from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.
Launched in Autumn 2017, the company describes the block as ‘striking in its contemporary simplicity’.
Consisting of a mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel cradle and walnut or ash veneered knife store, the block is designed to hold four Signature kitchen knives.
It features an internal ABS sleeve with integrated magnets, which keeps the knives firmly in place, safeguarding each blade’s cutting edge.
