Retailers and suppliers: enter the Housewares Innovation Awards now!

With exactly one month to go until the deadline, retailers and suppliers have until November 14 to be in with a chance of winning a Housewares Innovation Award next April.

Retailers and suppliers: enter the Housewares Innovation Awards now!

If you believe that you supply one of the best housewares products around – or that your store is one of the most proactive and innovative in the industry, then don’t miss out on this opportunity to prove it!

Organised by www.HousewaresLive.net and Housewares Magazine, the Innovation Awards aim to celebrate innovation in the housewares industry. There are two categories: Product and Retailer.

The Product Innovation Awards commend the most exceptional housewares products launched in the past 12 months. The categories are: Cookware & Bakeware, Small Electricals, Food Preparation, Kitchenware and Tabletop.

The Retailer Innovation Awards reward businesses that go the extra mile in supporting, educating and communicating with their customers. The categories are: Britain’s Best Cookshop, Britain’s Best Independent Department Store, Britain’s Best Multiple Housewares Retailer, Britain’s Best Housewares Retail Website and Britain’s Best Rising Star (for businesses launched within the last three years ie since January 2012).

There is also one category based entirely on retailers’ nominations. Britain’s Best Housewares Salesperson is a chance for retailers to recognise and applaud the salespeople they deal with – whether they are reps, agents, key account managers or national sales managers.

A host of prominent names have been lined up to assess the product and retailer entries. Their job is to decide which entrants will be worthy of taking home a Housewares Innovative Award trophy, with all the kudos and publicity that goes with it.

The product judges share decades of culinary experience between them. They are: Trisha Schofield, head of testing for the Good Housekeeping Institute; chef, culinary innovator, TV presenter, author and British Ambassador for Food, Drink and Tourism Alan Coxon; Sally Fitzgerald, editor of the ‘Food Heaven’ series of consumer magazines and TV chef Malcolm Harradine and his wife, customer liaison director Mel Harradine.

All the winners will be announced during as part of the Housewares Conference & Innovation Awards event which takes place on Wednesday April 22 at Wokefield Park in Berkshire. The Awards will be presented during a glittering evening ceremony by globally acclaimed celebrity chef Ken Hom OBE, who is widely regarded as the world’s leading authority in Chinese cookery.
