Prue Leith co-founds Deli At Home

TV presenter and cookery writer Prue Leith has co-founded a premium meal delivery service for time-poor food lovers.

Deli At Home delivers all the premium ingredients required to cook two or three meals for two or four people on a weekly or fortnightly basis. Everything is delivered ready measured – even spices and sauces – alongside recipe cards. There are 10 seasonal recipes to choose from, including two weekend treat options, with the premium ingredients sourced from suppliers such as Tom Hixson of Smithfield for meat and Murray Fresh Fish for fish.

Current recipes include Chicken & Chorizo Paella, Coconut & Salmon Laksa, Duck Breast with Pomegranate & Persian Rice Pilaf, Houmous Chicken Shawarma with Lemon Chilli Sauce & Fattoush Salad and Pork Loin with Juniper Berries, Potato Mash & Roast Figs. Customers can choose between the Classic Box (three recipes for two people) at £39, the Family Box (three recipes for four people) at £59 and the Starter Box (two recipes for two people) at £29.99.

Prue said: “I’m delighted to be part of the team that has launched this new meal delivery service for those who love good food but who have little time to shop for ingredients. From the initial feedback, we know that the meals are being enjoyed by a wide range of people, from young professionals and busy families through to discerning pensioners and single mothers. Good food should be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of their circumstances, so we have a selection of recipes for everyone.”

Other Deli At Home founders include Markus Niemeier, owner of organic muesli brand Yoosli, and chef Brian Collie (formerly of The Waterside Inn and other Michelin starred restaurants) along with food lovers Tony Lahert, Neil Hargreaves and Luke Quilter. Each recipe has been created by chef Brian in his kitchen and judged by Prue.
