ProCook shortlisted for five gongs in eCommerce Awards 2016

Specialist housewares chain ProCook has broken a personal record after being shortlisted for five awards in the Ecommerce Awards 2016.

Owned by UBM and now in their eighth year, the eCommerce Awards highlight some of the very best online retailers, online companies, agencies, innovations, products and campaigns that the ecommerce industry has to offer.

ProCook has been named as a finalist in these categories:

-Best ‘General’ eCommerce

-Best Home & Garden, DIY & Tools eCommerce

-Best Social Media eCommerce Campaign

-Large eCommerce Company of the Year

-Best Agency (in conjunction with Digital Clarity)

The retailer took home two awards last year including Best Multi-play eCommerce Company of the Year and Best Home & Garden, DIY & Tools eCommerce.

In addition, it recently scooped a prize at at the ECMOD Direct Commerce Awards 2016, organised by Direct Commerce Magazine and supported by the Direct Commerce Association. It beat off stiff competition to win Best Multi-Channel Business/Brand (Annual Sales of £15 million – £30 million).

ProCook head of eCommerce Luke Pickering said: “It’s great to be nominated again this year. This is huge for us and after winning two gongs last year we are really hoping to shine this year too.

“Last time we were a bit of a newcomer and didn’t really expect to win, so picking up two awards was amazing. I suppose we’re under a bit more pressure this time round and there are some really good companies on the shortlist. But we haven’t stood still in the last 12 months: we’ve innovated, we’ve grown and we have delivered outstanding financial results – so who knows what will happen?”

The awards ceremony will take place at London Marriot Hotel Grosvenor Square on September 28.

Headquartered in Gloucester, the brand began nearly 20 years ago and claims to be the first company to sell cookware sets by direct mail in the UK. Since then, ProCook has grown into a multi-channel company with 23 nationwide stores which supply housewares products for up for 50% less than other leading brands. It is still owned and managed by one of the original founding family members.

Housewares retailer Harts of Stur is also a contender in the eCommerce Awards 2016. It is shortlisted in two categories: Best eCommerce Customer Service and Best Home & Garden, DIY & Tools eCommerce.
