“We’ve been waiting for this final piece of the jigsaw puzzle since the announcement of the birth,” said group sales and marketing director Phil Atherton today.

“Our Spode and Royal Worcester designs are now complete. Within four days’ time, we will have product ready to send to our customers worldwide. There’s a flurry of activity at our factory and a real sense of excitement. It’s going to be a very busy and enjoyable couple of weeks getting all the pieces delivered to our retail partners and distributors all across the world.”

Pictured is the Spode royal baby plate, which is being made at Portmeirion Group’s factory in Stoke-on-Trent. It is part of a collection that comprises a dresser plate, round tray and mug, each adorned with the child’s name and date of birth in Spode’s blue colourway.
