Portmeirion launches new £250,000 Stoke showroom

Portmeirion Group has opened a new, state-of-the-art showroom in Stoke on Trent.

Portmeirion launches new £250,000 Stoke showroom

Its launch comes on the back of a 236% increase in profitability for the tabletop company in the year to last December – which allowed a substantial investment of around £250,000 in the new showcase.

Portmeirion says that, as its window to the international business community as well as key UK buyers, the showroom needs to reflect properly the company’s current status at the forefront of the tableware and gifts sector.

The showroom, in London Road, features the best heritage and brand new collections from Portmeirion and Pimpernel, as well as from Spode and Royal Worcester, which the company acquired last April.

Alongside a special archive display, the showroom features up-to-date technology and a presentation of the factory facility, making the UK manufacturing activity visible to all visitors on site.

Since the acquisition of Spode and Royal Worcester, Portmeirion says it has focused on nurturing and further building its four iconic brands, and new logos and defined brand identities have been created for each.
