Plate Tableware in Fulham, West London, has been chosen as one of the favourite shops of, the new online buyer’s directory from exhibition organiser Clarion Events.

The website is aimed at retailers, suppliers and designers, and not only provides company details but also information on trends and products and has a Shops We Love section.

Now Barry Seaman’s six-year-old tabletop shop has been added to the list of top retail destinations. It is, says the website, an “enticing lifestyle boutique which specialises in design-led, contemporary tableware and dining accessories”.

It goes on: “Owner Barry Seaman has created this destination for people who have a real passion for modern tableware and who enjoy dining and entertaining with family and friends at home, in style.

Seaman reveals that the French Laguiole cutlery is the shop’s best-selling range, along with Scottish slate platters and serving trays. “Products made from bamboo, recycled glass and other environmentally friendly materials also remain popular.”
