Plan ahead for an Indie Christmas

The founder of Independent Retailer Month will be sharing details of the planned ‘Celebrate an Independent Christmas’ campaign, during a webinar on Wednesday (August 7) at 10am.

Plan ahead for an Indie Christmas

‘Celebrate an Independent Christmas’ is a nationwide effort to improve footfall to high streets, towns and village centres, to increase consumer confidence, and to boost retail sales in the run-up to December 25. The campaign was founded in 2012 by Clare Rayner as a spin-off from the well-established Independent Retailer Month.

The webinar, which will be delivered by Clare, will explain what the 2013 campaign event is all about, update on progress made last year, and discuss what will be made available, free of charge, to any retailer, group of retailers or town that wants to get involved.

Those who participate in the webinar will get the opportunity to ask Clare questions about the activities, and how to get involved, and will benefit from her advice based on her experiences of leading the campaign in 2012 and from the feedback of all the areas who took part.

If you are a retailer, a local business, a representative of a local council / BID or town team or even a resident who cares about the future of your town then you could become the ‘local activation partner’ for the Christmas activities in your area – and this session will explain what that involves.
