Products from Gilberts Food Equipment have been chosen by PizzaExpress to serve up its new Francesco Mazzeimenu.
The 2010 menu has been created by Italian chef Francesco Mazzei, whose specialities include the Calabrese, a hand-stretched rectangular pizza served on Gilberts’ slate TopGourmet board. Customers are also given the Triangle pizza cutter to divide up their Calabrese pizza.
The menu also includes the Tricolore tomato and mozzarella starter, which is served on a small TopGourmet cutting surface.
The TopGourmet board, available in six sizes and a variety of finishes, does not dull knives and has superior hygiene properties. Gilberts says that the pizza wheel, with its angled head and sharp edge, is the perfect partner for the board.
Gilberts also supplied PizzaExpress with TopGourmet cutting surfaces and Triangle pizza cutters in 2009 for serving the limited-edition menu by Theo Randall.
