‘Pies & Puds’ climbs up Best Sellers league

A cookbook by Great British Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood is clambering up the top 10 list of best-selling non-fiction hardbacks.

‘Paul Hollywood’s Pies & Puds’, published by Bloomsbury on October 24, ties in with the celebrity baker’s 20-episode TV series of the same name.

Episode 12 of the show will be screened tomorrow (Monday November 25) at 3.55pm on BBC One. In it. Paul sets out to prove that Britain’s pies and puddings are among the best in the world as he is joined by American baking boys Outsider Tart for a Great Transatlantic Bake Off. But when it comes to pies, Paul’s Scottish buffalo steak pie wins the day, and Paul discovers the ‘strawberry of the future’ in Kent.

‘Pies & Puds’ has jumped three places in the past week, from tenth position up to seventh, in Nielsen Bookscan TCM’s weekly bestseller chart (which collates real time sales from over 6,500 retailers representing over 90% of the UK book market).

Two other cookbooks appear in the top 10: ‘Proper Pub Food’ by Tom Kerridge is at number eight, and ‘The Great British Bake Off: Everyday’ by Linda Collister, which contains forewords by Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood, is at number 10.

The number one spot in the chart is held by Alex Ferguson’s ‘My Autobiography’.
