Housewares industry charity the Rainy Day Trust (RDT) has welcomed PHA KitchEssentials as its latest partner company.
Established in 1997, PHA KitchEssentials supplies kitchen and dining products to independent stores, mail order catalogues, garden centres, cookshops and other housewares outlets.
The distributor’s diverse range of products includes the Architec Stackable Appetiser, Prepara I-Prep stand, Cuisipro Ice Cream Scoop and Stack and the Siliconezone Measuring Cube.
PHA KitchEssentals managing director Paul Hargreaves commented: “RDT is a great charity, which is completely dedicated to the welfare of people in our industry, and so it’s a pleasure to get involved.”
RDT is the only charity which exists solely to help people who have worked in the UK’s home improvement and home enhancement industry. It merged with the Pottery and Glass Trades’ Benevolent Fund in 2012 and in the past 10 years has given away more than £1.4m to beneficiaries of all ages.
To qualify for financial assistance from RDT, applicants must have worked in the relevant industry sectors for a minimum of five years during their careers. This can be in any capacity, from retail to distribution to manufacture.
