Pop star Peter Andre is set to capitalise on consumers’ continuing passion for good coffee by opening up a chain of coffee shops.
The celebrity has appeared in several series of The Next Chapter on ITV2, but has had limited success at reviving his musical career.
Now he plans to run a string of New York Coffee Clubs, with the first scheduled to open in around a month’s time in the unlikely town of East Grinstead in West Sussex – close to where he lives. A second will launch in London in six months.
“We’re looking to do a cafe where it’s not just where you go to have coffee,” Andre said. “I want everything to be gourmet. I want affordable prices but I want it to be top, top quality so people can enjoy the experience.”
Home-made cupcakes and fresh pastries will be sold along with the coffee.
According to Andre’s agent: “He’s been planning this for years. He has a business head and his strategy is top notch.”
