Paul Marchant quits Hahn Trading

Paul Marchant has resigned as a director of cookware supplier Hahn Trading Company, saying that he can no longer commit enough time to the company.

Paul Marchant quits Hahn Trading

Marchant set up a sales agency last year shortly after selling his two Marchants Cookware cookshops to Steamer Trading. The agency handles products by Forma House and Joseph Joseph, and added ICTC to the list this September.

Explaining his resignation from Hahn, Marchant told HousewaresLive.net: “I haven’t got time to devote to the business. Things change, and I need to be able to concentrate on what I’m doing, and I can’t do both. It’s really as simple as that. I’ve led a split existence for the past three years, and when you’re working on the road it’s almost impossible to do.”

But he added: “I’m proud of what [fellow director David Eggison] and I have achieved.”

At Hahn, managing director Carl Saunders told HousewaresLive.net: “”Obviously we remain very close. Paul remains a shareholder with Hahn, it’s just that he’s focussing on the agency work, which he’s thoroughly enjoying. I think that with taking on ICTC he needs to focus his time and energy – he’s taken on a big area.”
